Art and Real Estate brought up to a whole new level

Developers from New York like Property Market Group (PMG)  and Office for Metropolitan Architecture (OMA) are investing in Miami, one of the causes of this investment is the awesome crusade of art and culture in the city. Starting with the opening of the Perez Museum, a modern and contemporary art museum dedicated to collecting and exhibiting international art of the 20th and 21st centuries. The Bass Museum founded in 1963 through the donation of a private collection of Renaissance and Baroque works of art to the City of Miami Beach by John and Johanna Bass. The Vizcaya Museum and Gardens which features the antique Main House with 34 decorated rooms showcasing over 2,500 art objects and furnishings; ten acres of European-inspired formal gardens; a significant orchid collection; and 25 acres of endangered primary growth forests.  Museums are important because they provide a unique interactive experience of getting up close to things we usually only see in books, newspapers or on the television. Also Museums are a significant factor in attracting tourists to an area and can therefore be instrumental in helping the local economy in terms of supplying a passing trade as well as offering local people employment

The boom of the Art Basel is another important feature of this art movement; the Art Basel is recognized as the premier international art show, providing a platform for artists and gallerists from around the world. Investors are coming to Miami for the thrill that is causing this cultural boom. Miami is no longer just attractive for the beaches but also for its art. Characters as Jorge Perez from The Related development group are inspired by art, he wrote “To be surrounded by world class art is among the greatest luxuries in life” for the SLS Lux development that is coming for Brickell. Art is a great way to connect with clients and investors because it is a language that all people speak that cut across racial, cultural, social, educational, and economic barriers and enhance cultural appreciation and awareness. Artists like Romero Britto a Brazilian Neo-pop artist, have been giving character to the city since 1989 incorporating his sculptures and drawings to a lot of sceneries around Miami.

Art in Miami are not only paintings, pictures and sculptures, art is transforming into the most outstanding and imposing constructions never seen before.  There are so many new buildings upcoming characterized by luxury and the latest technology that is a whole new challenge to the developers this is why they have incorporated awarded architects to the projects as well as interior and landscaping designers to bring us a whole new level of art to the city. Arquitects like Rem Koolhas and Shohei Shigematsu designed Park Grove, a new development in Coconut grove, along with interior designs by William Sofield and Landscapes by Enzo Enea. For the Echo Brickell Project the developers from PMG handed the design of the building to Carloss Ott recognized internationally as one of the leading design arquitects, and the interior designs to the Yoo Studio a revolutionary property brand enhancing the way of life through their designs.

So this is the improved Miami, a city that is outgrowing to be one of the most promising cities in the South, home for more than 150 ethnicities and over more than 60 languages, where art and real estate meet to bring museum-like developments. Buildings like One Thousand Museum from the Pritzker prize-winning architect Zaha Hadid and the SLS Lux and Brickell Heights from The Related Group are incorporating this ideas to bring us state of the art developments. This art and cultural encounter is drawing the attention of investors and developers and we should expect over 17 developments between Brickell and the Downtown Miami area in the upcoming years.
