Eat, wine, Miami!

The South Beach Wine & Food Festival is here once again! Is a four-day destination event showcasing the talents of the world’s most renowned wine and spirits producers, chefs and culinary personalities. The Festival benefits FIU’s Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management and the Southern Wine & Spirits Beverage Management Center. To date, the Festival has raised more than $18 million for the School.

This year is the 13th anniversary of the festival that started as a one day festival known as the Florida Extravaganza, nowadays has grown to become a four day festival filled out with a lot of color and flavor, becoming a tradition every February in the city of Miami.

The festival opens this year on Thursday February 20th with The Q hosted by Michael Symon and featuring the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Models at the Delano.

The festival continues through the weekend and is packed with some great events. Highlights include:

  • The Grand Tasting Village
  • Tribute Dinner
  • BBQ & The Blues
  • Carnivorous Dinner

That’s only a sampling of the many events running throughout the weekend. Chefs like Anna Abbona from Marchesi di Barolo, Gaston Acurio from La Mar by Gaston Acurio, Amol Agarwal from Ritz-Carlton South Beach are some of the personalities that will be joining the event. The Festival is world-renowned for its ability to attract culinary celebrities, and for some excellent days of delicious dishes and excellent wine, a feast for the palate.
